One thing I’ve been mildly obsessed with this season is mixing prints. I LOVE prints. If you’ve been to my house, you know that there’s two things I love for sure and that’s color and prints. I find it so easy to mix these things in my house, but I struggle more for adding it into my wardrobe. I am a ‘solid buyer’ for clothes. I don’t know why, but it’s easier for me to commit to a solid color that I think will go with more than a bold print I can only wear a few ways. But alas, Fashion Friday has been my project to get outside my comfort zone and develop my own style. So.. bring on the prints!
I’ve also been following this little piece of info for my daily outfits and I must say, I’m into it. It’s a little harder in the summer to layer in like I would like because it’s about 1,000 degrees outside right now, but if you’re not great at putting outfits together, it’s a good rule of thumb. So for this look, my light pink skinnies are my basic piece, my patterned shirt is my interest piece, my cheetah print belt is my completer piece, and my accessories polish off the look.
This cheetah belt, btw.. I honestly wear it almost every day. It looks cute with everything and adds just a splash of funk to each outfit which I love. I’m really loving adding a clean print like stripes or this cross patterned blouse with a more wild print like cheetah to balance it. I think mixing prints and colors is a super fun way to make a statement. Anything goes, right? The 80’s are back!
Also, I’m thinking of cutting some inches off the ol’ locks. Nothing too short, but just a more middle-of-the-back look. I’m feeling a bit drab lately with this mane of mine. Anyone care to chime in on the matter? Let’s discuss in the comments.

I just did the same thing to my hair, it was probably 2 inches shorter than yours. I probably cut off 5 inches, but it was so worth it. It looks thicker and is healthier. It took me a long time to build up the courage to do it.

I love that, Jenn! Long hair is fun to look at and everything, but it’s pretty much ridiculous. I can barely put it into a top knot anymore, I mean…
you may have just talked me into it!

I just got 3.5 inches off and never felt better! My hair was slightly shorter than yours. It’s much more manageable now and I can run my fingers through it without getting all tangly. I say do it! You’ll still have the long look, but it will be lots easier! Love the outfit btw!

Oh my goodness, YES! I know what you are talking about with wanting to cut your hair! Summer time= being hot = makes you want to cut off all your hair
Having long hair, and a lot of it doesn’t help the drab-feeling-ness. I’m too scared to cut mine, I’d probably end up regretting it. But LOVE your whole outfit, you look so PRETTY!! I’m def gonna try this formula!
xoxo!
